Teachers from 169 education institutions to benefit from free of charge trainings in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - Over 4,000 teachers from 169 general education institutions from all over Moldova will benefit from free of charge continuous training courses within the We Invest in Teachers National Programme, the second edition. The beneficiary schools were selected out of a number of 181 institutions and consortiums, of which 29 ones from Romania.    

„We are in a process of contracting universities, civil society’s organizations, which will provide the trainings. We thank the schools for interest and for availability to cover this programme, which certainly needs also an additional effort on behalf of the institutions. A curious fact is that 29 education institutions from Romania have registered. We are happy that our programmes are visible also in Romania and there is interest on behalf of education institutions from this country in the We Invest in Teachers Programme,’’ Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said.   

The subjects of the trainings will include such topics as the emotional intelligence, relation of the teacher with pupils and parents, the relevance of learning, inclusive education, education for democracy and European integration, creation of skills of prevention and intervention in cases of bullying, the integrity and ethics of the teacher.   

The training courses will be held both at the general education institutions selected, with a number of classes not less than a half of the total, and online. In the end, the participants will be evaluated and will get a certificate of qualification.

The Education and Research Ministry allocated about 8 million lei for the carrying out of the second edition of the We Invest in Teachers National Programme. Another 6 million lei was earmarked in 2023 for the holding of the first edition of the programme, with about 3,000 teachers from 91 education institution of Moldova trained.
