Branch of Romanian energy exchange gets licence of operator electric energy market in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Energy Market Operator M (OPEM), which is the subsidiary of the OPCOM energy exchange from Romania, today got the licence for the activity of operation on the electric energy market of Moldova.    

OPEM is to launch the electric energy market for the next day (PZU), the intraday electric energy market (IntraDay) and organized market of contracts, as well as the subsequent possibility of their international coupling.  

The markets managed by OPEM will give correct signals of price to the market and will subsequently allow also establishing the differentiated tariffs for the electric energy for the end consumers.   

OPEM will contribute to the optimization of the electric energy market, promotion of transparency and competition, management or risks, creation of a friendly environment for investments and export.
