Moldovan PM in discussions with representatives of local public authorities in Glodeni district

Chisinau, April 4 /MOLDPRES/- Possibilities to develop the country's towns and villages according to the European model and efforts taken by the government to modernise localities were discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean with representatives of local public authorities and deconcentrated public services in Glodeni district.
The official said that the authorities will continue to prioritize projects that directly benefit the Moldovan people, including those that can be accessed once the country becomes a candidate country for accession to the European Union. In this context, the prime minister stressed the importance of the necessary preparation for the assimilation of European funds that will change the localities of Moldova.
"The government is building roads, schools, kindergartens, playgrounds and hospitals to improve living conditions in localities. At the same time, we are supporting business people to ensure the creation of new jobs. We will bring Europe home together, because our common goal is the well-being of citizens across the country," he said.
According to the Prime Minister, one of the Government's investments in the villages and towns of the Republic of Moldova is the implementation of the European Village programme, as well as the Express European Village. 11 localities in the Glodeni district have already benefited from it. Representatives of the local public authorities appreciated the projects.
The mayors said they support the pro-European option and will use all the opportunities offered in this context. The LPA representatives also discussed issues related to water quality, medicines supply and infrastructure improvement.
Recean visited the repaired 7 km stretch of road, G 24, Petrușeni - Camenca. The road connects the villages of Butești, Brînzeni, Molești, Camenca, Petrușeni, customs point Costești - Stînca and tourist routes Suta de Movile, Pădurea Domnească and Cheile Butești with the district.
