Chisinau, February 20 /MOLDPRES/-Well-known folk music singer Mihai Ciobanu, People's Artist, holder of the Order of the Republic celebrates his 70th birthday today.
Throughout his career he recorded over 300 songs.
In 1993 he was awarded the honorary title Emeritus Artist, and in 1996 he was decorated with the Civic Merit medal. In 2007 he was awarded the Labor Glory order, and in 2010 he was awarded the People's Artist. In 2013 Mihai Ciobanu was decorated with the Order of the Republic.
