Moldovan woman from Italy aims to erect monument dedicated to migrant women

A monument dedicated to migrant women will be inaugurated in Italy. The initiative belongs to Dorina Rosca, the founder of the association, Donne Migranti DOR, in the city of Parma.

Dorina Rosca says the monument of the migrant woman is a tribute to all women, of any nationality, who, according to the author, have left their homeland, facing the unknown to build a better future for themselves and their children.

‘’This is the story of my mother, your mother, everyone's. A powerful symbol of courage, sacrifice and love," said Dorina Rosca.

Dorina Rosca also said that, at this point, the sculpture was almost ready, but certain resources are still needed to achieve the final result. To support this noble project, several Moldovans’ associations from Italy have consolidated, not only promoting the initiative, but also getting involved financially.
