Moldovan writer says 2020 first year for folklorists of Academy of Sciences, whey they started making National Folklore Corpus
Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - The poet, dramatist, folklorist, PhD in philology, Master in Art Iulian Filip has said that 2020 was the first year for the folklorists of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences (ASM), when they started carrying out the National Folklore Corpus within a research project of the B.P. Hasdeu Romanian Philology Institute titled, Native social and cultural contexts and European inter-connections in the people’s creation and cult literature from Bessarabia (19th century till present).
Folklorist Iulian Filip prepared the volume of people’s theatre.
”Challenged by the National Library, I made a meeting with people imprisoned at the Penitentiary 3 from Leova. I donated to the penitentiary’s library a string of books and a computer,’’ Iulian Filip said.
According to the writer, in the first half of 2021, the poet’s anthological volume titled, The Nicest Poems, will appear at the Herzog Publishing House from Targu Mures (Romania) and at the Prut Publishing House – the third volume of theatre for children and a volume of short prose and graphic titled, Incredible Correspondence - at the Cartdidact Publishing House.
The poet, dramatist, prose writer folklorist, PhD in philology, Master in Art, holder of the Order of Honour and Mihai Eminescu Medal, laureate of the Constatin Stere Award in the literature sector of the Culture Ministry, 2017 issue, and of the Simion Florea Marian Award of the Romanian Academy Iulian Filip was born in the Sofia village, Drochia district in 1948. He graduated from the Philology Faculty of the Balti-based A. Russo State University.
In 1974, he deputed with a group of poems, followed by many others. He signed the graphical presentation for over 30 books. Iulian Filip edited 100 books in all. In 2010, Filip was awarded the Order of Honour and in 2014 – the National Order of Faithful Service of Romania, in rank of Officer.
