More plays to be broadcast online in Moldova on World Theatre Day

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - Theatres from Moldova invite us to watch more plays online on the World Theatre Day.   

Moldova annually marks the World Theatre Day along with another 100 countries, on 27 March. On this occasion , the Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) has conveyed a congratulatory message of gratitude and high admiration for the actors, dramatists and theatre stage managers from Moldova, who on this difficult period, triggered by the COVID-19 virus pandemic, adapted to the new realities and managed to bring the most spectacular plays to our homes.     

According to a press release by the institution, we will mark the Theatre Day differently this year too. Our actors teach us to watch at home, in safety, the theatre plays available online on the webpages/sites of the theatrical institutions.  

Thus, the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre invites to the play titled Take, Ianke and Kadar, by Victor Ion Popa, stage management of V. Rusu, on 27 March at 13:30.The play could be watched at the Moldova 1 TV channel. Also, starting from 18:00, the play, A Stormy Night, by Ion Luca Caragiale, stage management of A. Dabija, will be broadcast on the Facebook page of the aforementioned theatre, within the Theatre Reunions project. This is a production by the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre from Iasi, Romania.  

The Vasile Alecsandri national Theatre from Balti on 27 March invites to watch online, on the institution’s Facebook page, the premiere of the play, Agachi Butterfely, according to the play Agachi Flutur by V. Alecsandri, stage management of A. Cozub, starting from 11:00. The play Retro by A. Galin, stage management of A. Cozub, will be presented as of 18:00. The Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre invites us to watch the La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini on the institution’s Facebook page starting from 17:00.     

Moldova’s National Library (BNRM) organizes at 9:00 the Cultur@Art  Saloon, Theatre on the Forestage, able to be watched on the Library You Tube channel and on the social networks of BNRM, of the partners Moldova9.com and the Television of the Journalism Faculty of the Moldovan State University.     

An exhibition of documents, Theatre – poetry coming from book, dedicated to the World Theatre Day, will be inaugurated also at the National Library. The exhibition will be opened on the period 27 March – 30 May 2021.
