National Library of Moldova opens exhibition dedicated to family
Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of documents from collections of the National Library of Moldova (BNRM) titled, The family - symbol and supreme value, was opened at the BNRM headquarters today. The event is organized on the occasion of marking the International Day of Families.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the BNRM director, Elena Pintilei, said that the exhibition had the goal to promote the role of the family in the general structure of the society, importance of the psycho-physical health, as well as the moral and spiritual one of the family, reflected in BNRM’s documents and collections.
According to Pintilei, the exhibition comprises about 180 copies of documents (books, albums, periodical publications) and has six divisions: The Family – the home church; The family and school; The family – cultural values and dimensions, Family – safety of future and The family health – the true happiness of the mankind.
The exhibition can be visited till 14 June, with the observance of the measures and norms of protection against COVID-19.
The International Day of Families was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on 20 September 1993, as event with fixed date on 15 May of each year and shows the importance the international community attaches to the families.
