
One of principal studios of Radio Moldova to bear name of departed journalist
Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- The studio No 1 of the Radio Moldova institution will bear the name of the departed journalist Alexei Revenco, Master in Art, holder of the Labour Glory Order, regarded as the golden voice of the national public radio station.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of Radio Moldova, Veaceslav Gheorghișenco, said that the inauguration would take place on 21 April. A special edition dedicated to journalist Alexei Revenco, who animated microphones during time, will be aired on this day.
Alexei Revenco became a man of radio after, at the age of 20 years, following three contest stages, he had been accepted for the office of radio announcer probationer at the Radio Moldova national radio station. Revenco started working at the Radio when he was in the last education year at the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy, at that time Gavriil Muzicescu Arts Institute. He dedicated 43 years to the radio activity since then.
Alexei Revenco presented diverse programmes in various fields, microphone theatre; he was the voice of diverse videoclips and advertising clips. Revenco’s voice was distinguished also in serial films or movies broadcast at TV. Art people know him from the concerts or events in which he participated as presenter.
Alexei Revenco was supposed to present the event of swearing in office of Moldova’s President Maia Sandu. Yet, on 23 December, he was hospitalized along with his wife, radio announcer Maricica Munteanu, being confirmed positive for COVID-19. The journalist passed away because of Covid on 11 January 2021.
