Over 80 young people of Moldova to receive monthly allowance through National Program +3,000 Lei for Your Career
Eighty three young people are about to receive the tax-free monthly allowance of 3,000 lei, and over 1,000 others are set to complete the digital validation of their applications, two months after the launch of the National Programme, +3,000 Lei for Your Career. The programme, implemented by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED), in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, aims to support the integration of young people into the labor market and the development of strategic industries of Moldova.
According to the MDED, the allowance is provided for 12 months to young people aged between 18 and 35, employed full-time in one of the seven priority industries: pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive, textiles, agro-food, construction materials and creative industries.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor said that the programme represented a direct investment in the country's economic future.
“The future of Moldova's economy depends on young people who choose to build a career here, at home. Through this programme, we support them and the industries that can transform the country — from automotive and electronics to creative and agro-food industries,” Nistor also said.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu emphasized that the programme provided “real opportunities for young people and a clear signal that the state wants to see them employed in sectors which matter for the future of Moldova.”
The first success stories confirm the programme's positive impact. In the textile industry, the company IUVAS integrates young specialists like Gabriela, who says that “the 3,000 lei support is a real motivation to build my career in Moldova.” In the pharmaceutical sector, Balkan Pharmaceuticals provides opportunities to young chemists like Maria Savin and Denis Mocanu, who will benefit from the allowance for one year.
The director of the National Employment Agency, Raisa Dogaru, noted that success at the first job “amplifies long-term success in a young person's career,” and the institution actively contributes to their integration into the labor market.
From a digitalization perspective, the director of the Electronic Government Agency, Nicoleta Colomeet, emphasized that the application process was fully automated through the EVO platform: “Young people can check eligibility, apply and track the support provided by the state directly from their phones. This is a clear example of how digitalization simplifies interaction between the state, citizens and the business environment.”
To facilitate access to eligible job positions, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization has signed a collaboration agreement with the www.Jobber.md platform, which promotes the programme and highlights vacancies in strategic industries. The platform‘s administrator, Victor Taulean, said that, in the first three weeks, the dedicated programme page had recorded over 3,500 visits and 150 eligibility checks, indicating increased interest on behalf of both young people and employers.
Authorities estimate that over 4,000 young people will benefit from the programme by October 2026, and by 2030, the number could exceed 9,000. The budget for the first year of implementation is 60 million lei, of which over 34 million is already planned for 2025.
The +3,000 Lei for Your Career programme is part of the National Economic Development Strategy 2030 and the National Industrial Development Programme 2024–2028, meant to support industries with value added and motivate young people to stay and work in Moldova. The application process is digital, via the EVO platform, and the Applicant’s Guide provides details about eligibility criteria and necessary steps to get support.
