Moldovan deputy premier meets foreign minister of Netherlands
Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of the international conference in Berlin dedicated to Support Platform for Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra.
According to the MAEIE press service, the Moldovan official thanked the Dutch authorities for the decision to relocate Ukrainian refugees from the Republic of Moldova, for the support within the Support Platform as well as for the consistent humanitarian assistance provided to our country to cope with the crisis generated by the war in Ukraine.
"A priority topic of our discussions also referred to the opportunities for cooperation on the segment of Moldova's advancement on European integration, in the context of our country's application for membership in the European Union on March 4," said Popescu.
The sides also discussed strengthening cooperation on areas of mutual interest for the benefit of the citizens of both countries, including the possibility to reduce the cost of roaming services.
