Moldovan head of state meets president of Iceland
Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has met President of Iceland Guðni T. Jóhannesson, on the sidelines of her visit to Japan. The agenda of discussions was focused on the bilateral cooperation, the presidential press service has reported.
The two heads of state referred to the negotiations on the signing by Moldova of the free trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). Also, the sides discussed possibilities of carrying out projects in the field of renewable energy, taking into account Iceland’s experience in this sector.
President Maia Sandu is on a visit to Tokyo on 1-3 December.
