Moldovan speaker talked to president of Azerbaijan
Chisinau, Feb. 24 / MOLDPRES /- While in Baku, Speaker Igor Grosu spoke today with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The sides spoke about the intensification of collaboration in projects with a regional impact in the field of energy, transport, agriculture and tourism.
At the same time, the speaker thanked the official of Azerbaijan for his openness and willingness to help Moldova during the energy crisis.
In the context of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, Speaker Igor Grosu stressed that during all this time Moldova and Azerbaijan have mutually supported each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders and cooperated at multilateral and regional level.
In this context, Igor Grosu and Ilham Aliyev discussed the security situation in the region, reaffirming full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
On February 21-24, Grosu paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the invitation of the President of the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of this country, Sahiba Gafarova. MP Vitalie Jacot, a member of the Friendship Group with Azerbaijan, was also part of the Legislative delegation.
