Prime Minister Dorin Recean participated in National Costumes and Bread Festival held in his native village, Mîndîc, Drochia district. The event celebrated local traditions, and the program included performances by artistic groups and tours of exhibitions and local craftsmen.
The official praised the work of talented people and stated that the unity of our people will help build a prosperous, peaceful, and European society, where every citizen feels valued and respected.
“All we need to do is stay united and cherish the things that unite us – traditions, humanity and peace. We have brought the European Union closer than ever. We invest in schools, hospitals, universities and road infrastructure. We invest for more opportunities for every individual,” said Recean.
Within the European Village program, 51 projects are being implemented in Drochia district, with a total value of 170 million lei. These include the construction of water supply systems, investments in medical institutions, and modernization of schools and kindergartens. Important roads connecting communities are also being renovated - Zgurița – Popeștii de Jos, Popeștii de Sus road, the bridge over Căinari, which connects localities to the district center, the road connecting Țarigrad to Drochia.
“Moldova can achieve anything because it has people like this: hardworking and dignified. Thanks to our joint efforts, Moldova is moving in the right direction. In every district, including here in Căușeni, we have invested so people can have a better life at home. In just the last four years, over 380 million lei have been allocated to community development projects in Căușeni district. There is still much to do, but we are moving in the right direction – towards joining the European Union,” noted the prime minister.
