As many as 559 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,260 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 559 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 475 among non-vaccinated people. Eleven out of these cases are import ones. As many as 265,817 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), seven out of the new cases are among medical employees (one physician, four medical assistants and two representatives of the auxiliary staff).
As many as 955 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 122 are in extremely serious condition and 18 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 2,051 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,586 are under supervision at home.
Another 267 people have been treated. As many as 255,991 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another six deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,380 people have died of coronavirus in all.
