Two Border Police experts to attend activities carried out by FRONTEX
Chisinau, April 19 /MOLDPRES/- Two Border Police experts will participate in the operational activities carried out under the auspices of FRONTEX in the international airports of Tbilisi and Milan. The announcement was made today by the head of the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, Rosian Vasiloi.
Moldovan officers will assist and consult their colleagues from Georgia and Italy in the travel document expertise, profiling and information exchange in order to combat phenomena related to cross-border crime.
"The Republic of Moldova firmly stated that the national objective for the next period is to become a member state of the EU. Being a member of the European Union does not only mean the benefits that the EU brings, it means working together with other countries of the Union for the benefit of the whole community. The Border Police is ready to work side by side with colleagues from EU states and FRONTEX for a safer Europe. After February 24, 2022, Moldova demonstrated that we are not only beneficiaries but also providers of security and we will continue to demonstrate this," concluded Vasiloi.
