
Moldovan Muay Thai wrestler wins gold medal at European Games
Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - A Muay Thai wrestler, Artiom Livadari, has won the first golden medal for Moldova at the European Games, held in Kraków-Małopolska, Poland.
Livadari, holder of the International Master of Sport title, gained three victories at the weight category up to 81 kg. During qualifiers, he defeated a French wrestler, Bilal Bakhouche-Chareuf, who got the bronze medal at the World Championships from 2023 and in the semifinals, he defeated the European champion from 2022, Turkish sportsman Enis Yunusoglu. In the final, the Moldovan wrestler outran the Ukrainian sportsman Yehor Skurikhin, and got a European title in Muay Thai for the first time ever.
Wrestler Artiom Livadari and his coaches will get money prizes provided by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC).
