European Village: Three projects to upgrade water supply systems completed
Chisinau, Oct. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Three projects to modernize water supply systems have been completed under the European Village Program. The works cost 17.8 million lei (925 thousand euros), allocated by the government.
According to the National Regional and Local Development Office (ONDRL), in the village of Moșana, Dondușeni district, 6.3 million lei were invested to build 8 km of external water supply networks, 1 artesian well and a pumping station. Now, 500 households with 1520 inhabitants, 11 social institutions and 11 commercial units have access to the new water supply system.
In the village of Parcova, Edineț district, 16 km of aqueduct networks, a water treatment station, two water towers were built and an artesian well was renovated. Government allocated 8.7 million lei to this end.
In the village of Bahmut, Călărași district, a similar project was carried out with 2.8 million lei, with 3.5 km of aqueduct networks and a potable water reservoir being built. More than 300 inhabitants benefit from better living conditions in Bahmut.
The European Village Program includes a total of 497 infrastructure rehabilitation and modernization projects in rural communities in the Republic of Moldova. 214 projects have been completed so far.
