PHOTO // Tourist destinations from northern Moldova highlighted through Heart of Moldova tour
The tourist destinations in northern Moldova have been rediscovered by tourism agents and national guides during the informative tour, HEART OF MOLDOVA, organized by the National Tourism Office in the villages of Ocnita and Naslavcea, aiming to promote authentic tourist attractions, cultural heritage and local gastronomy.
The itinerary included the Constantin Stamati House-Museum in the Ocnita district, a monument of history and culture tied to the life and work of writer Constantin Stamati, one of the prominent figures of the 19th century.
‘’The museum is constantly visited, and tourists leave here impressed. The Constantin Stamati House-Museum is not just a historical building, but a living space that retains the spirit of an era. Those who walk through its doors feel the atmosphere of the old manor, where cultural people used to gather, read, talk and create. The linden tree in the yard also has a unique charm, a silent witness to Stamati's thoughts and works, which continues to tell the story of this place to today's generations,’’ said tour guide Lilia Proca.
The tour continued in the village of Naslavcea, at the 'Moldovan Trout' complex, included in the Gastronomic Route of Moldova. Visitors learned about trout farming in natural conditions, the valorization of local products and the development of rural tourism. The experience was completed with a guided excursion, tasting of trout dishes and an artistic moment with winter carols.
Among the destinations visited was also the Blue Lake in Naslavcea, one of the most spectacular natural attractions in the north of the country. Formed after stone extraction, the lake impresses with its intense color and surrounding scenery, being an important tourist attraction.‘’It's an area that deserves to be discovered by all tourists in Moldova. Organizing such a tour is not at all simple, especially when talking about a large group of around 40 people. Nevertheless, the interest and enthusiasm of the local tourism representatives are essential and must be valued at their true worth, so that the guides and agencies leave here with solid experiences and authentic stories to pass on to tourists,’’ said the tour organizer, Angela Crucichevici.
The informative tour concluded at the 'Beciul din Stâncă' (The Rock Cellar) guesthouse in Naslavcea, a complex arranged in a traditional style, overlooking the Heart of Moldova Island, a natural symbol of the locality. Participants enjoyed the hospitality of the hosts, local dishes and an authentic natural setting specific to the northern region of Moldova. The National Tourism Office organizes informative tours for tourism agents, guides and media, promoting the cultural, natural and gastronomic heritage of Moldova. The participants have recently explored objects in the Drochia district and discovered local traditions, museums and artistic creations. Meanwhile, the Cross-Border Gastronomic Route was launched, a route that highlights the culinary heritage and hospitality of Moldova and Romania.
