
Reanimation section of Cahul-based hospital repaired, endowed with advanced equipment
Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - The section of anesthesia and intensive therapy (ATI) of the Cahul District Hospital has been renovated and endowed with advanced equipment. The residents from the neighbouring districts, Cantemir, Vulcanesti and Taraclia, will benefit from better medical services as well.
Attending the inauguration event were Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, Health Minister Ala Nemerenco, the local administration and the staff of the medical institution.
The section has 13 beds and will provide medical assistance to patients in critical condition, with surgery, gynecological, cardiovascular pathologies, such as the heart attack or cerebral vascular accident.
The ATI section of the Cahul hospital was repaired within the World Bank’s project, Emergency Response to COVID-19, managed by the Health Ministry. Also, the section was endowed with medical equipment from the state budget, as well as with partners’ support.
According to the Health Ministry, 11 ATI sections from more republican, municipal and district hospitals were repaired within the World Bank’s project worth 187.2 million lei.
