Repair of road between Taraclia, Ceadâr-Lunga had positive impact in region
Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/- The project to improve and repair the local route L654 Taraclia - Ceadâr-Lunga had a positive impact on the development of road infrastructure in the region. Specialists of the South Regional Development Agency reached the conclusion, who recently paid a monitoring visit in the territory to assess the sustainability of the program results.
This project was implemented in 2014-2015, the main objective being the improvement and development of road infrastructure in Taraclia and Ceadâr-Lunga districts, through the reconstruction and modernization of the L654 road. „The project provided for the construction of a road section with a length of 13.04 km that connects Taraclia and Ceadâr-Lunga districts. The total value of the investment was 44.9 million lei, allocated from the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR) ", ADR Sud said.
During the visit, a working meeting took place with the participation of the management of the two districts. "Discussions with officials found that the project had a positive impact on the development of road infrastructure in the region. Residents of remote localities have got a more convenient and faster communication artery to the district centers. The business environment also benefited, as this way favorable conditions appeared for the launch of some economic activities or the maintenance of the existing ones, mainly in agriculture”, sources from ADR Sud said.
According to ADR Sud, an agrotourism activity focusing on equestrianism will soon be launched on this route, "all these contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality and increasing the attractiveness of the region".
