
Seven tourist attractions from Moldova finalists in Romania's Destination of the Year 2025 contest
Seven destinations and tourist attractions from Moldova are finalists in the prestigious Romanian contest, Destination of the Year. Moldovan citizens are invited to vote for their preferred destinations among more than 70 finalists on www.destinatiaanului.ro till March 25.
Nationally, this contest is organized by the National Tourism Office, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
‘’Steps to follow to vote for destinations from Moldova: go to the site https://destinatiaanului.ro/competitia/voteaza; choose your preferred destination from the 6 categories and validate your vote by clicking the "Submit Vote!" button at the bottom of the page (after entering your email address); finally, you will receive a link by email, where you must confirm your vote,’’ said the National Tourism Office.
The categories where Moldova is present are: Inspiring Cities: Chișinău Municipality; Enchanted Lands: 'Plaiul Fagului' Nature Reserve; Story Villages: Țâra Village, Florești District; Fun and Adventure: 'Kazak Club' Equestrian and Agricultural Tourism Complex; Culture and Education: Old Orhei Cultural and Natural Reserve and CRICOVA Tourist Complex.
At the same time, in the 'Best Promotion' category, the Chisinau Municipality and Eco-Village Văleni are set to be evaluated by the Destination of the Year jury.
This year, Moldova participates year in this contest for the second year in a row, which shows that country has a huge tourism potential alongside Romania. Văleni Village from Cahul district won the title, Destination of the Year of Moldova, at this competition in 2024.
Destinations from Moldova compete alongside destinations from Romania and can win any of the competition categories, if they score the highest points. Also, at the Gala on April 8, 2025, due in Sibiu, Romania, a special award, Destination of the Year in Moldova, will be given to the destination with the highest score.
