Two settlements from central Moldova district to extend sewerage network
Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Centru Regional Development Agency ADR Centru) and the Nisporeni town mayoralty have signed a contract on financing for a sanitation project in the homonymous district.
The project, Aqueduct Prut-Nisporeni. Evacuation of residual waters of Nisporeni town (phase II and III) and Varzaresti commune, will be implemented during 23 months starting from July 2022. The project provides for the protection and improvement of the quality of the environment through the extension and rehabilitation of the sewerage system in the Nisporeni town and the aforementioned commune. As much as 42.6 km of sewerage networks and individual conserved 3,200 septic fossae will be constructed within the project.
„Thus, over 8,000 residents of the Nisporeni town and another 4,000 from the Varzaresti commune will benefit from access to the extended sewerage system. At the same time, the living conditions will be improved for the residents from the concerned areas and the extension of the sewerage infrastructure will help develop the capacity of the enterprise Apa Canal Nisporeni stock company,’’ ADR Centru said.
The project’s overall value, according to the demand for financing, is over 46 million lei (about 2.3 million euros).
