
Two US-backed projects inaugurated in Gagauzia
Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/ - The US Agency for International Development (USAID) My Community program yesterday inaugurated two infrastructure projects, implemented in Gagauzia.
It is about the reconstruction and development project of Pobeda Park in Ceadâr-Lunga and the reconstruction project of the roof of the High School B. Ianakoglo in Copceac village. They were implemented by local public authorities in collaboration with My Community Program and with the financial support of USAID.
As part of the Ceadâr-Lunga project, extensive works were carried out to improve the Pobeda Park, the lighting system was modernized, a playground for children and a sports field were set up. Also, a pool was rebuilt, the paving of the alleys, benches and trash cans etc. were installed. The total cost of the project was 128,500 thousand dollars, of which the investment of the Ceadâr-Lunga town hall - 66 thousand dollars, the contribution of USAID - 62 thousand dollars.
As a result of the works carried out in the high school B. Yanakoglo from Copceac, the roof of the institution was rebuilt, thermal insulation of the roof was ensured, which increased the energy efficiency of the building, the rainwater drainage system was repaired, the ventilation system was repaired, etc. The cost of the reconstruction works was more than 120 thousand dollars, 77 thousand dollars being provided by USAID.
