Video surveillance system set up in Cahul municipality
Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/- A video surveillance system has recently been finalized in Cahul. The project includes the installation of over 30 cameras in the busiest areas, as well as the most important intersections of the city.
The system works autonomously and can be developed, with a capacity of up to 500 cameras. At the same time, in case of possible damage to the electrical networks, the video surveillance system can work independently for up to five hours.
The first who appreciate this system were policemen in Cahul. “The police was convinced of the usefulness of the video surveillance of the locality during the testing, when several cases of theft and accidents were found", ziuadeazi.md said.
The installation of video cameras is an investment of Cahul municipality, which allocated about 280 thousand lei for this purpose.
