New trolleybus route to Durlesti to be launched in early February

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/- Trolleybus route No35, which will connect Durlesti to the centre of the capital, will be launched on 4 February. Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu made the statement today.

At the same time, local authorities announced that the number of trolleybuses on routes 7 and 25 will be filled by one unit.

"We received several complaints from passengers last week about the activity of the Electric Transport Company. It is related to non-observance of timetable. Unfortunately, the lines 7 and 25 are leading in this context. So, we have decided to take urgent action in this regard. I hope increasing the number of trolleybuses with a transport unit will solve the problem,” he said.

At the same time, Codreanu said that starting from 31 January, trolleybuses No8 will run until 01:00.

At present, over 310 trolleybuses are circulating on the streets of Chisinau, of which 80 are of old type.
