Cement plant from city of Transnistrian region resumes work

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cement plant from Rabnita has resumed its work, which was interrupted last year for technical reasons, according to media from the left bank of Dniester.   

A press release reads that the enterprise has started its work and plans to modernize its production process.  

According to the management of the economic agent, at present, the plant works with one technological line; a furnace for the production of clinker and chalk was launched, a hall for grinding and shipment works; at the same time, the repair works and projects on modernization of the production process continue.  

"These projects will help us save energy resources, improve the quality of semi-finished goods and the finished product. And the modernization of cement silos at the loading station will speed up the time of shipment to the consumer,” the production manager, Evgheni Titoruc has told media.    

The Rabnita cement plant is one of the biggest enterprises from the left bank of Dniester. On the last period, the plant has been facing more financial and economic problems which disturbed the production process, with the situation taken under the control of the authorities of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian Moldovan republic. According to more sources, in 2018, the enterprise produced more than one million tons of cement and the sum of fiscal collections exceeded 40 million Transnistrian roubles (one Transnistrian rouble costs 16.1 dollars).
