Chisinau, 7 March /MOLDPRES/ - The officers of the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS), who do not own a personal dwelling or corporate housing, will receive an allowance for renting dwellings. A regulation on the way the allowance is established and paid will be published in the 8 March issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

Under the document, the officers who do now own individually or along with the wife/husband a personal dwelling or corporate housing in Chisinau or in nearby settlements, which are placed at a distance of 30 km far from the work place at the most, will benefit from a monthly allowance for renting dwellings in the quantum seen in the contract on renting the dwelling. Yet, the allowance will not exceed the basic reference value for calculating the salaries of the public sector employees for this year, which is set annually.

The decisions on providing the allowance or refusing it will be approved by a special commission made up of seven persons.

The government decision on the approval of the regulation on the way of establishing and payment of the monthly allowance for renting dwellings is enforced starting from 1 January 2019.
