Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Maia Sandu, has addressed today a message to the citizens of Moldova asking them to stay home on Sunday, 16 June, when it was planned to take place the March of People, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

"We know how much the law – enforcement forces have worked recently, we know that people have been harassed, kept in the sun, given illegal instructions, it was a lot of confusion. A great event celebrating the liberation of Moldova would place a great responsibility on the shoulders of police. We say we give the police a rest and postpone the People's Marsh for later," said PM Maia Sandu at a press conference in the Government.

Also, the new chief of executive has said that all those against whom the usurpation of state power will be shown will be punished according to the law. "The heads of the regime have run away. Plahotniuc was scared of your strength. Once we ensure the functioning of an independent justice, Plahotniuc and the fugitives who built the corrupt and bandit regime will be returned to the country and punished according to the law. Tomorrow we rest and rejoice, and starting Monday we start hard work to clean up the system and rebuild the institutions so that the life of each citizen becomes better," specified Premier Maia Sandu.

The new Moldovan PM, Maia Sandu, was inaugurated on 08 June 2019.
