Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development, Environment has new head

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/- Newly-appointed Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Georgeta Mincu was introduced today by Prime Minister Maia Sandu to the ministry employees.

The premier noted that the new minister has working experience with international partners in agriculture and will bring major changes in the institution. Maia Sandu said she would like a better structure of the ministry, and teams in each district should be formed that would come with information and support for farmers.

The new minister listed the problems faced by the institution and said that all processes, especially administrative and business, would be optimised.

Georgeta Mincu is an economist and has worked over the years at the Ministry of Economy, was consultant to the Government of Moldova and several international organizations.
