Moldovan government to work with all mayors winners in elections - PM says

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Maia Sandu said today that the government will work with all mayors who won in the local elections and urged elected mayor of the capital Ion Ceban to keep promises.

The prime minister urged candidate of ACUM bloc Andrei Năstase to resume his activity in the government as soon as possible. “The vote of the citizens is the essence of democracy and we respect the people's choice. We lost a battle, but the real fight against corruption is still going on. The biggest victory in these elections is that they were free ” Sandu said.

The official will continue the justice reform and urged President Igor Dodon to keep promises and avoid political games that can undermine this reform.

Following yesterday's elections, November 3, Ion Ceban is mayor of Chisinau.Over 52 percent of the inhabitants of the municipality opted for him, others about 47% voted for candidate of ACUM bloc Andrei Nastase.
