Live fish traders to be checked by tax body

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/- Live fish traders will be checked by State Tax Service (SFS) inspectors. The checks will be released on 18 December.

Fiscal control actions will be carried out by operative verification to prevent cases of breach of the rules governing the activity of the economic agents concerned. Controls will be imposed on taxpayers who sell live fish, including commercial markets and adjacent zones.

The checks will take place after last week, SFS employees carried out voluntary identification and compliance actions of taxpayers selling live fish. They benefited from consultancy regarding the registration of their activity, their rights and obligations, the consequences of non-compliance with the legislation in force and the initiation of control actions.

SFS reminded taxpayers of the obligation to apply the cash and control equipment when carrying out cash settlements, as well as holding the documents of origin of products.
