Experts of Russian federal service Rospotrebnadzor to inspect wine companies from Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - A group of experts from the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor) this week will inspect several Moldovan wine-making companies, for an eventual extension of the sales market of the native wine and vine production.     

“The wine-making companies from Moldova have a production potential for a wider market; therefore, Rospotrebnadzor specialists will assess the potential of export to Russia,” the director general of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), Vladislav Cotici, has said.      

According to the official, the sides will exchange opinions on the new provisions of the national legislation in the field. “We will coordinate the procedures of ensuring the quality and safety of the wine and vine products, which will contribute to facilitating the exports from Moldova to Russia,” the ANSA head noted.

The Rospotrebnadzor experts this week will inspect six wine-making companies from Moldova, in the context of considering the extension of the list of companies approved for export to the Russian market.  

Presently, there are 23 wine-making units in Moldova which can export to Russia.
