Age limit for admission to military service by contract to be increased

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- The age limit for admission to military service by contract will be increased. A draft law to this effect was adopted today in final reading by parliament.
According to the document, the decision was taken in order to supplement the Armed Forces with citizens with deficient specialties. This provision may be applied only once during military service.
At the same time, the article of the Law on military status stipulating that the age limit for admission to military service by contract can be extended up to 5 years, at the decision of the head of the military structure.
So far, the age limit for entering the military service by contract was 45 years.
