Taxi driver from Moldovan capital detained after allegedly extorting 500 euros for driving license

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- A taxi driver from the capital was detained by the officers of the National Anticorruption Center / CNA / after he was denounced by a young woman who claimed that he had asked her for 500 euros to help her get a driving license.
An investigation for influence peddling was initiated in this case, and yesterday the man was detained. If found guilty, he faces 2 to 6 years in prison or a criminal fine.
