Moldova to benefit from assistance on behalf of French Development Agency

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Ambassador of France to Moldova Pascal Le Deunff today morning, the presidential press service has reported.

At the discussion, the diplomat informed the head of state about the French authorities’ decision to include Moldova in the list of countries benefiting from the assistance of the French Development Agency (AfD).

„AfD will support the financing of projects in essential sectors – re-afforestation and irrigation, modernization of water and sewerage supply systems, interconnection of power supply systems and ensuring buildings’ energy efficiency,’’ Maia Sandu said.

The head of state thanked the ambassador for the good news. ‘’I voiced hope that we would soon have a government made up of just and competent people, with whom we will be able to start carrying out these projects,’’ the Moldovan president said.
