Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has accredited 78 observers of the runoff of the new local elections for the mayor office in six settlements, among which the Balti municipality too.

Seventy five observers are members of the public association, Centre for Legal Investigations and Defence of Human Rights. According to a recommendation by CEC head Angelica Caraman, all observers of the organization accredited will participate in training courses this week, organized by the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training at CEC. A member of the electoral authority, Sergiu Gurduza, said the training was necessary, as the last activity of monitoring of an electoral process by this non-governmental organization had been made in 2010.

Also, CEC accredited three international observers of the new local elections, nominated by the Embassy of Turkey in Moldova.
