Members of Shor Party, declared unconstitutional, not to be elected for three-year period

Chisinau, July 14. /MOLDPRES/- The persons who were members of the executive body of the Shor Party, those who held elective positions or were on the alternate candidate lists at the time the political formation was declared unconstitutional, will not be able to be elected for a period of three years from Constitutional Court's ruling. Parliament voted a draft law to this end today.

The legislative initiative was set up by a group of MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party Fraction, in the context of adjusting the internal regulatory framework regarding the liquidation of political parties, after the Constitutional Court issued a Decision declaring the Shor Party unconstitutional and dissolved.

The document was voted in the first reading by 56 deputies. It is to be supported by the Parliament in the second reading.
