Soroca business incubator renovated with state's help

Chisinau, July 18. /MOLDPRES/- In northern Moldova, the works of renovation, modernization and increasing the energy efficiency level of Business Incubator in Soroca with a total area of 1500 square meters were completed. The works were carried out as part of a regional development project implemented by the Regional Development Agency (ADR) North from the sources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

ADR North director Maria Prisacari said that the project to renovate the business incubator is part of the 20 priority actions of the government from the National Plan Building European Moldova. "This project covers the first two of the 20 Government Actions launched recently. It is about (1) Modernization of cities and villages and (2) Energy efficiency of buildings. At the same time, the new paradigm of regional development policy emphasizes competitiveness and economic development. Once energetically renovated and modernized, Soroca business incubator will strengthen its mission as a development engine in the north of the country", Prisacari said.

Soroca business incubator was renovated in June 2022 - July 2023, following the implementation of a series of investment measures. 

Among the beneficiaries of the project are the 20 residents of the business incubator in Soroca, the students from the city's educational institutions, about 80 thousand inhabitants and at least 50 economic agents from the districts of Soroca, Florești, Drochia and Dondușeni. "The value of the executed works is 5.5 million lei (275 thousand euros), allocated from the sources of the National Development Fund. About 547 thousand lei represent the beneficiary's contribution, which constitutes 10% of the budget allocated from the National Development Fund. Specialized technical equipment, estimated at 1.2 million lei, is to be purchased for the equipment and arrangement of a laboratory for studying foreign languages, as well as five other business laboratories of the beneficiary educational institutions", explains ADR Nord.

Soroca business incubator is a public institution, a business center, which offers permanent support to entrepreneurs in the Northern Development Region, so that they can develop businesses and constantly create new jobs.
