74 localities affected by bad weather to get aid from state

Chisinau, July 28. /MOLDPRES/- A number of 74 localities in six districts in the north of the country, which were affected by the rains and wind in the last few days, will receive help from the state. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement today, shortly before the start of the extraordinary meeting of the Government.
"Government is coming to the aid of the people who have been affected by the bad weather on July 25. Today, at the cabinet meeting we approve material aid for 74 localities in 6 districts in the north of the country. The support will reach the citizens in the form of construction materials from the state's reserves, in a total amount of over 16 million lei", Recean said.
The official requested the local authorities to mobilize and show responsibility to carry out all repair and damage removal works as soon as possible.
The heavy rainfall and strong wind of the last few days have caused damage in several localities in the north and center of the country. The most damage was recorded in Edineț, Soroca, Dondușeni, Râșcani and Drochia districts.
