Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today adopted the draft law which sees the amendment and adaptation of the single classifier of public offices to the requirements of the labour market in the second reading with the votes of 54 MPs.

The new document provides for the revision of the minimal specific requirements for the holding of public leadership offices at the level of the subdivisions made up of at least 18 staff units. Thus, the requirement to have a managerial experience of two years is included. Also, the draft envisages the inclusion of the position of head of the executive apparatus of the Competition Council in the section of public offices of the higher level.

Also, the single classifier of public offices will be completed with two titles of public offices – the one of chief investigator (head of subdivision) and investigator – positions of the Bureau of Investigation of Accidents and Incidents in Transports. At the same time, as a result of the renaming of the Financial Inspection into the Financial Control and Revision Service, the titles of the positions of chief controller and inspector, higher controller and inspector and controller and inspector will be excluded.

The draft law also proposes the revision of the minimal specific requirements for people who hold offices in the internal audit field within the central public administration bodies and the authorities subordinated to them. At the same time, to fulfill the international and national commitments taken by Moldova as regards the promotion of the gender quality, especially through the ratification of the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, the feminization of the public offices’ titles is provided for in the draft.
