Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea presented the results of an enlarged meeting with the biggest employers and tax-payers from the agro-industrial sector, held in Chisinau today. Attending the event was President Maia Sandu.

Vladimir Bolea noted that the biggest tax payers, which had paid the biggest taxes to the state budget and the biggest employers from the agricultural sectors of all Moldova’s districts, participated in the discussions.

„This was a constructive meeting. I noted 41 proposals on behalf of farmers, which I can divide into several big chapters: we talk about the working out of a plan on the subsequent introduction of the subsidization per hectare, problems related to the lands’ registration, the payment of the value added tax and others,’’ Vladimir Bolea said.

The deputy PM noted that this was the first meeting of this kind with farmers and that such discussions are to be organized with representatives of all dimensions of agriculture. “MAIA is aware of the need to elaborate specific policies for each kind of farmer. In the value chain of the agriculture from Moldova, each one has his/her contribution and faces various problems. Coming up with universal solutions is a wrong way, which yields bad results. For this reason, we took the decision to have separate meetings. This was an informative discussion. Other ones will come next, during which we will come up with answers and solutions to the problems set forth by farmers,’’ Vladimir Bolea said.

The official also said the next meetings would be with the importers of inputs and small producers.
