Moldovan foreign ministry issued travel alert to Finland

Chisinau, Nov. 17 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) issued today a travel alert to Finland.

According to the MAEIE, Finland is temporarily closing some border crossing points with the Russian Federation.

"Finnish authorities have taken the decision to temporarily suspend the activity of Nuijamaa, Imatra and Niirala crossing points on the border with the Russian Federation. This measure will enter into force starting from November 18 and will be in force until February 18, 2024. For crossing the border between Finland and Russia, the Vartius and Salla border crossing points will remain open," the ministry says.
