On election day, ASP to issue provisional identity cards free of charge

Chisinau, Nov. 19 /MOLDPRES/- The Public Services Agency (ASP) announced that today, on the day of the runoff election of mayors in some urban and rural municipal constituencies, the institution's multifunctional centers will issue free provisional identity cards to Moldovan citizens aged over 18, who on election day do not have the identity documents required to vote.

Thus, today citizens registered at home or temporary residence until 05.08.2023, as well as those who changed their domicile/temporary residence between 07.08.2023 - 17.11.2023 in the same administrative unit, can obtain a temporary identity card. Students and pupils with the right to vote, enrolled at an educational institution located in one of the administrative-territorial units where the runoff election will take place, can benefit from the service upon presentation of the student/pupil card.

At the same time, today the ASP multifunctional centers will ensure the registration of the students and pupils with the right to vote enrolled at an educational institution at the temporary residence in the administrative-territorial units where the runoff election will be held.
