Preliminary results: candidate of Action of Solidarity Party wins elections in Truseni commune, Chisinau municipality

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The preliminary results unveiled by the Central Electoral Commission show that the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Viorica Beregoi, will become the mayor of the Truseni commune, Chisinau municipality. In Vadu lui Voda town, the office of mayor will be held by the candidate of the Party of Socialists (PAS), Iurie Onofriiciuc, and Eleonora Saran on behalf of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) remains mayor of the Durlesti town.

According to CEC’s data, 313,767 voters (about 36.7 per cent) out of those 828,557 ones who were expected to vote gave their ballots till 21:00.

The runoff election of the general local polls was held in 273 settlements of Moldova today.

As many as 623 mayors were elected in the first round of the elections, held on 5 November; they picked up more than a half of the validly expressed votes.
