Twenty six economic agents involved in dual education of Moldova benefit from compensations worth 3,5 million lei in 2023

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - Twenty six economic agents involved in the dual education in 2023 benefited from compensations worth 3.5 million lei (175,000 euros) from the state budget for the first time being. Representatives of the Education and Research Ministry (MEC), Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry and the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) discussed these and other activities of backing the dual education.      

The allocations for compensating the expenses for the organization and carrying out of professional training programmes through dual education were distributed proportionally to the number of pupils educated and in accordance with the financial mean used by the economic unit during the academic year.    

The MEC’s state secretary, Galina Rusu, stressed that the dual education was one of the best practices of training the labour force. ‘’I express confidence that more and more companies will get involved in the training of specialists through dual education and the compensation by the government of the expenses borne by economic agents is meant to encourage this,’’ Rusu said.   

According to MEC, in 2024, the sum earmarked from the state budget for compensations for the spending of the dual education units is of ten million lei.
