Contemporary fine art exhibition inaugurated at exhibition centre from Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of contemporary fine art titled, Art and Time, was inaugurated at the Chisinau-based Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre today.
The exhibition comprises 32 works of the funds of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union, of which 26 painting ones and six sculpture and pottery works.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union (UAP), Dumitru Bolboceanu, said that the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre had a rich collection of works, bought back in the Soviet times and which was preserved in the UAP Fine Art Fund.
”The collection has about 500 works. Today, we exhibited a small part of them. We have chosen for the exhibition works which have nothing in common with the communist ideology. Such exhibitions must become traditional, which will influence these works, which will influence the works by local fine artists, especially the young ones. This is a heritage which we should turn to account and re-bring them to public,’’ the UASP head added.
The exhibition will be open till 28 February.
