More cultural, artistic events to take place at Museum of Chisinau City on Dedication Day
Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Museum of History of Chisinau City, on the occasion of the Dedication Day, on 13 and 14 October, comes up with a varied cultural and scientific schedule. It is organized in partnership with the State Enterprise Posta Moldovei (Moldova’s Post), the Centre of Philology Researches at the Moldovan State University (USM), under the aegis of the Chisinau Municipal Council’s Culture Department.
According to the museum’s director, Valeria Suruceanu, the event is dedicated to the Chisinau-based Water Tower, which became symbol of the city, marking the 130th anniversary of its foundation this year.
The events will open today at 14:00. A post card, Chisinau Water Tower – 130 Years, elaborated by Moldova’s Post state enterprise, will be launched.
In continuation, a documentary titled, The water towers: symbolic benchmarks of Chisinau, will be screened, within the scientific project, Culture of promotion of Moldovan cities’ image through art and mytho-poetics.
A master-class in the field of textile arts will take place at the Museum of History of Chisinau City on 14 October during 10:00-18:00. The event is organized with the support of the Confidence Building Measures Support (V), financed by EU and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme.
