Customs Service collected over 571 million lei last week

Chisinau, April 25 /MOLDPRES/- On April 18-24, the Customs Service collected over 571.7 million lei (about 28.5 million euros) to the state budget.

According to the institution, private people introduced goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, and payments amounting to over 15.3 million lei were collected, which represents 2.7% of the total amount. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.

Also, 10,615 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 78,936 crossings.

In the fight against fraud, 39 violations of customs legislation were found and fines of over 146 thousand lei were applied.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 10.4 billion lei to the state budget, up by 12.7% compared to the same period last year.
