Gasoline, diesel to become cheaper over weekend
Gasoline and diesel prices will decrease by up to 0.28 lei per liter at the end of this week, continuing the downward trend seen recently. Data from the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) shows that, compared with the values recorded at the end of September, the maximum price of gasoline has fallen by 3.83 lei per liter, while the diesel price has decreased by 1.11 lei per liter.
ANRE emphasized that developments in domestic market prices reflect the decline in international Platts quotations for petroleum products, a trend that has intensified recently. Thus, over the 14-day period used to calculate maximum prices, Platts quotations for fuels fell by approximately 17.4% for gasoline and 10.2% for diesel.
Under these conditions, for the next three days, ANRE announced a price of 30.52 lei for gasoline, down by 0.28 lei. Similarly, diesel will become 0.21 lei cheaper and will cost no more than 35.73 lei.
